Affiliate Marketing – 5 Steps To Achieving Full Time Success Online (Part 1)

Affiliate Marketing is probably the best strategy for anyone to kick start their internet marketing business. Even if you have a full time job, affiliate marketing is still the EASIEST way to make money online.

So, what is affiliate marketing? In a nutshell, it is:

The promotion of products by third parties in exchange for a commission/cut of the sale

I will not touch on the basics of affiliate marketing here. But, if you need information, you can read it from other “welcome to affiliate marketing” articles on the internet.

Hey, only just beware of information overload! Information overload happens very too often to anyone starting their business online. Literally, people just FREEZE from doing anything for their business. They want to satisfy their need to know everything; which is IMPOSSIBLE! Well, I’ve been there before and I know.

TIP => Whenever you learn anything useful, action on it and move on… QUICKLY. Taking action is better than ensuring perfection in your online business.

Let’s take a look at 5 steps to take to kick start our affiliate marketing business:

Step #1 – SET AN INITIAL GOAL
Set an initial goal. If you plan to generate $100/day or $1000/day, the first step is to set a goal for yourself. Start by setting a short term and a long term goal. This will allow you to obtain small successes while still recognizing the big picture to where you want to go.

This step is important and those who want to be successful in their online business must set goals and start with an action plan. They stick to their action plan and persevere until they have achieved these goals.

Step #2 – RESEARCH THE MARKET AND SELECT A NICHE PRODUCT TO PROMOTE
There are several affiliate networks that we can register. I like Clickbank (www.clickbank.com) best at this moment. I suggest you browse and join any affiliate network that you like. Most affiliate networks are FREE to join.

Next, find a large and easy to reach target market that you want to promote products on. We don’t want to promote a product that EVERYONE else is promoting. There would be too much competition! But then, we don’t want to promote a product that NOBODY wants. That would be a pure waste of our precious time!

I suggest researching into profitable industries, products, competitors’ products, advertising costs of products being promoted, and the overall opportunities for success in the product market before selecting the product to promote. Then, select a niche product or products (up to three) to promote in that market.
