You might be familiar with the story of the hare and the turtle. If you are not familiar, it is about a race between a hare and a turtle. The hare was far superior to the turtle in speed and agility, but was easily distracted. The turtle on the other hand moved very slowly, but was persistent, stayed focused, and continued to set its eyes on the final goal (to win the race).
In the end the turtle won. The hare got distracted along the way and the turtle walked through the finish line first.
Internet Marketing is very much like this old tale. Yes, you have heard it before, in Internet Marketing, there is no such thing as getting rich overnight, although there are some sources pulling you into this direction. The hare approach to internet marketing will only end up losing you money. By now, you should already know that in internet marketing, the turtle wins!
Turtles work slower and are much more logical with their decision-making. They are not easily distracted, and in Internet Marketing if you get distracted easily and do not focus on what you are trying to achieve, and stay at it long enough, then you will be going to run astray…and this results in not becoming successful.
The turtle technique does not mean that you will have to spend months before you see results, but it does mean that you need to understand what you are doing before you go launch your next campaign or start a website haphazardly.
There is no overnight success. But, if you want to build a business online that earns you income for years to come, you will need help and support… we all need help and support. As Internet Marketers or even in any business, getting into networking is definitely very important.
Networking
So, what is networking?
- Meeting other people to mutual advantage
- Developing relationships and building useful contacts
- A way of doing more effective ‘business’ and can open doors for you to new business opportunities
- Encouraging and promoting ‘idea sharing’ and collaborative projects
When we network, we are opening ourselves up for personal development, skills sharing, problems solving and consultation. We want to maximized our opportunities. Ultimately, we can have a chance to be mentored, to help us achieve our full potential.
My honest advice: Please DO NOT spend thousands of dollars of your hard-earn cash for ANY big guru programs even how enticing their sales page may sound to be.
So, if you think you are the faithful turtle toddling on to internet success…we can help one another out… Make sure you stay focus and don’t be like the hare who got distracted along the way. Stay focus… and have a positive attitude always!!
Take care!
