Don’t tell me… you are desperate… you are not making money in your online business. You thought you have a real workable strategy for your online business… but there is NOT SALE… NO CONVERSION
You did all the right things…
- found out a product to sell from www.clickbank.com or www.cj.com;
- did your keyword research, targeted on low competition but high search keywords and phrases;
- wrote out your honest articles on your blog or website and submitted them to www.ezinearticles.com and www.goarticles.com
- did your article submission to social bookmarking websites to promote your articles and get traffic to your site
- went to forums to promote your blog or articles
- even spent some money promoting your site through PPC
- setup an opt-in form to collect your loyal readers and their emails
Yes… you are seeing good traffic. BUT, for some reason… you are not CONVERTING them to SALES. And, your are wondering are you doing something wrong…
Let us see, what could possibly go wrong. Let me share with you 3 reasons why your traffic is not converting to SALES:
1. The product you are promoting does NOT FIT to the keywords you are promoting
There’s a mismatch between what people are looking for and what you are offering. Do yourself a favor, do not do your keyword research first UNTIL you have a great product to promote. Look for a GREAT product to promote before you do your keyword research. Find the product that is HOT and selling well currently, has a compelling sales letter (imagine yourself as the buyer – would you buy the product after reading the sales letter) and offers at least $10 per sale.
2. The niche is not hungry
Your traffic is adopting a wait and see mentality for the product you are promoting. Yes, most sales are NOT made when it is promoted ONE time. MOST sales happen ONLY after the customer has contemplated the product at least 5-7 times. So, how do we overcome this… Be patient… that’s where email marketing is excellent to let your prospect customer a chance to continue to connect with your and your product you are promoting, even after they leave your website or blog. Build loyal readers to your blog. Provide them with value in your blog post. Remind them how good and beneficial the product is through email, with confidence and sincerity. And remember to provide a link back to your blog or website so that they can take action to click on that affiliate link for the sale.
3. You don’t connect to that group for some reason
Now… this is tough, but it is REAL. Is your approach or content to PUSHY? Are you thinking of making the sale that you overlooked quality and great content?
I had a friend who is also a blogger and he mentions that whenever he feels focus, motivated, confident, successful and secured… that’s the time he would rather write his blog posts or articles. When he is feeling lousy, discouraged, de-motivated and feeling lost or lack of focus… the readers would somehow feel his vibes through his writing. And, as a result, negative vibes do not bring in the sale, readership, comments or the opt-ins!!
Do your marketing sense need a bit of tuning or re-calibrating? Also, if you have problems expressing yourself, try get a friend (who is good at article writing) to sort out your train of thought in your article, etc. If you have a writer’s block, have a break (but not too long), and start re-focusing your thoughts and motivate yourself to action.
I like to say…. GIVE PEOPLE A REASON to buy the affiliate product you are promoting. Provide an actionable plan. Let them know a step-by-step method to be able to use or profit from the product you are promoting straight away. Show them that it is workable for yourself and you are also benefiting from the product.
Well, our aim to succeed and to make that SALE. Once, you get your sale… experiment, try out stuff that will improve your SALE count. Tune your campaign… We are all learning how to convert prospecting customers into buying customers. People’s appetite changes through time… and we need to know what your customers are desperately needing and searching for.
Finally, be patient. AND, be persistent in action, in motivation, in focus. Persistence to what you are doing in your online business is the key to success. You have to keep at it… and never give up!
5 Bucks A Day
For those who needs a bit of motivation, focus and belief in yourself, why not grab this book 5 Bucks A Day by Dennis Becker. I got this book recently and boy… I’m learning loads from it. If you need a paradigm shift in your internet business, why not read Dennis’ story of how he did it after 2-3 years of cruel struggling?. Heard that before…
Instead of focusing on the “home run” – Make BIG Money Now, it brings you down to the practicality of things, lowers down expectation and suggests focusing on creating $5 residual income streams on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, which will ultimately add up to $1000 days. If you are running out of motivation, I suggest you re-focus your energy on a plan of action (for a week), stay focused and EXECUTE until it is finished (don’t stop until it is done).
Also, with this book… it comes with downloadable bonus within the 5 Bucks A Day forum and you get to posts your problems, successes and Dennis is prompt to give you his thoughts and ideas.
Cool… just Digg my post, stumble it if your like this post and look forward to my next one!!!
Have a great week ahead!
